MAFIA Jewellery

So, if people didn’t already know, my sister and I are 23 and 25 and are the co-owners of MAFIA Jewellery - our mini little empire that is quickly growing around the world. 

It’s pretty exciting to be running our own business, but damn, sometimes it is tricky, tricky business. And honestly, sometimes the bizz gets you down! Sometimes you’re like “eff. why did that just happen?!” but I suppose it’s all part of being a young entrepreneur building your way through the business world. 

Probably the best inspiration we’ve had recently was actually from movie “The Social Network”, which chronicles the rise of Facebook and all the drama that ensued along the way. And yeah, Mark Zuckerburg looks like a pretty big jerk (at least how he’s depicted in the movie) but the cool thing is that he never quit. He was two-feet in, living, breathing, facebook. And that’s what I think you have to do to make a business really succeed.

So. This blog is going to be our living, breathing MAFIA Jewellery. A chronicle of the successes and challenges of breaking into the fashion world as two young little Canadian girls with a passion for awesome jewellery. 

So glad to have you guys along for the ride - fingers crossed there’s only a few speed bumps on the road to growing our international business!
